Isola Cinema 2006 film festival is drawing nearer and nearer. Between May 26th and May 30th Izola will become a movie island once again. People of Izola will be the first to get the news about (some of) the secrets of the forthcoming festival edition. On Saturday, May 6th at 7 pm, a press conference will be held at Art Kino Odeon in the center of Izola. The conference will focus on the programme and the guests of the 2006 festival edition. The Video on the beach team would like to announce that the application deadline for participation on the Video on the beach regional programme on the Isola Cinema 3 festival has been extended for additional three weeks.

New deadline for all film applications is March 21st, 2006.

And so he came, our Abbas Kiarostami. On a lovely thursday in Gorizia, during the Amidei film festival. One of the great authors of our time. A poet, a philosopher, a painter, a photographer, all that and more. Reserved at first, he got completely relaxed when he started to talk about his work and his art. After the press conference he sat among the audience, conversed with his fans and that very evening receieved an Amidei prize for his opus.
