An old friend of Isola Cinema, the Taiwan-based master Tsai Ming-Liang, has -- after the success of his latest film I Don't Want to Sleep Alone (Hei yan quan), shot as part of the New Crowned Hope project -- embarked on an expensive new project titled Face.
At the moment his list of actors includes Tsai's regular Lee Kang-Sheng, international star Maggie Cheung and the Nouvelle Vague icon Jean-Pierre LĂ©aud. All that is known at the moment are the interesting facts that the film will be shot inside the Louvre in Paris and that Ms. Cheung will play character named Salome.
